It seems that the White house has already been setting up podcasts to spread the speech, remarks of President Bush and Press briefings of White house since 2001. Maybe it is not a news for Americans, but it is very new for me, as a citizen of other country. Now, I finally realize why podcast in America is more popular than any other countries around the world at present. It is much easy to promote some products or industries if governments can be engaged in and support them as leaders. In Taiwan, the most “digital” media the President use at present is e-paper. Maybe I should suggest our president to apply Podcasting into his website to shorten the distance between government and citizens. I believe that having podcasting of recording important events or conversation on presidential website is also a good way and the first step to be transparent.
